The Annual General Meeting of Lewes Living Streets will be on Thursday 14 April at 7.30 pm in the Lecture Room, Lewes Town Hall. It will be followed by a forum 'How to create Living Streets in Lewes’ to which candidates for the county council will be invited to give their views on ways in which the council and local people can promote a pedestrian-friendly town.
Having undertaken several street audits already the committee are keen to build up a comprehensive survey of as many Lewes streets as possible. We shall need to have your help to do this, so please take this opportunity to learn the process the spread the load a bit. The next street audit will be on Saturday 12 March meeting at the top of Station Street, outside the Abbey National at 10 am. The audit will only take an hour or so and we hope to see you there.

Offham Road: the most dangerous road in Lewes?
There are dangerous points all along this road and the County Council plans to build a 20mph 'gateway' at the junction with Prince Edward's Road - drivers go way too quickly round this corner. If a crossing is not built someone will get seriously hurt soon - Offham Road is crossed by children on their way to Wallands and Priory Schools. Join Living Streets and Offham Road residents to protest for slower speeds at 10am on Saturday 26 March.
